Hey Guys! This is a very special Painting A Day Fundraiser for me! I'm doing 20 paintings, 20 days. Proceeds go towards our (Rachel Weiss + Exchange Artists) Performance Art piece entitled "Sacred Space" in late June (25-29) 2015 in gorgeous Austin, TX. This performance is funded by the City of Austin Cultural Arts Contracts Division. We need matching funds, and instead of asking the public to both buy a ticket to our show AND donate via crowd source, I'm painting paintings. WIN WIN! So, in essence, when you buy a painting you're helping pay for the technical needs of our show (lighting design, sound design, performers, etc).
I'll have more deets about our show shortly, as we start rehearsals in late May.
About the painting a day: Paintings are 9" x 12", watercolor and collage on paper. I will repaint paintings! If you see one you like from 2015, but it's already sold, you can still buy it. I send paintings out ASAP, but I'm in NY as I write this so turnaround time might vary from past years. Speaking of past years: CHECK THEM OUT UNDER the Painting a Day Tab >>>
Also, THIS IS A PROMOTIONAL DEAL! Having said that, I believe everyone should be able (and want) original hand-painted art. Enough said. If you don't want a painting, please consider Donating.
